Verifying for false positives or false negatives
Thanks for the commands. Where did you find them? I look at seleniumReference.htm and did not see them.

there is a command "assertFailureOnNext" and "assertErrorOnNext" in selenium.
Maybe they are what you need.

Subject: [selenium-users] Verifying for false positives or false negatives

Hello,

In order to run tests I have to verify the correctness of the result. This is done with verify... or assert... .
However I run into a problem. Here is an example:

I like to log into a web-site providing username and password. After I am logged in I am going to verify if I am logged in. However there could be the test scenario that I should be not allowed to login. In this case my verify.. would fail, which is correct but still would count as an fail within the TestRunner.

Yes, I could have two different scripts LoginFail.html and LoginPass.html but is there a better way like:       verify  something       pass/fail?

Thanks,
Bernd
